good days!

This blog just screamed at me just now for not updating it in eons. Therefore I'm updating it just so it won't bite my right hand.
Anyway, quick updates! (:
1) Life has been really good. I'm much happier than I was a few months ago.
2) Jogging and fitness routines are well followed except during the CNY hols. Ate like a pig.
3) Attended three BBQs over the CNY weekend and not at any one of them I attempted to truly help with the preparation of food.
4) I don't think I gained weight though :/
5) Sharitz is tres tres adorable!
6) The tennis season has started and though Federer is playing magnificently, I'm leaning more towards Nadal winning the Australian Open. Oh oh and for the Women's Singles, as much as I want Dinara Safina to win, I'm rooting for Serena Williams. Wooh!

Long runs in the evenings never fail to satisfy my hunger for an adrenaline rush. I am quite determined to get my timing below 10 minutes this time. God knows that I didn't even TRY last year.
Anyway, I was running at Yishun Park just now and was behind this middle-aged woman with her family. During that short period of time though, I reached one conclusion. It should be illegal for anyone to parade around in translucent tights that reveal their undergarments and other unsightly things in broad daylight. Well of course there are exceptions haha. But, seriously.
Oh, my Mom had this conversation with one of her student's granny some time ago.
'Hello teacher! - waves-'
'Oh hi! Where is Clara?'
'She's at home. I'm going out later.. -points to me- Is this your brother?'

And guess what! This is not the first time this has happened. I blame the massive height difference. Haha.

depressing

The situation at the Gaza Strip is really depressing. Many civilians are being killed and probably many more are dying as I'm typing this entry. The only reason why Israel is ignoring all calls for a ceasefire is because Big Brother supports its cause 100++%.. Blind support I tell you. Blind and stupid. They just bombed 3 UN-run schools! I mean come on. What else is there to say. Total BS man.
Not implying, I agree with Hamas' idealogies completely but this is really going too far.
I can't wait for 20th January to come around. There's a glimmer of hope for change. Real change.

Mm I felt bad for being too harsh on 2008. I know right. Feeling bad for something intangible. Hur.
Anyway on to giving more credit to last year! So 2008 wasn't too bad. One of my highlights of the year has to be making new awesome friends and meeting a variety of people. Starting from SAJC. The friends I made there are really sweet and nice and I certainly enjoy my time there ALOT. I really wished it was longer than 3 months though. Ohwell.
Then came TJ. Mm the honest truth? TJ was well.. an accident of some sorts. After vowing not to enter the college, somehow in the last minutes of the registration it ended up being my 2nd (or 3rd choice). Sure everyone knows about how stressful the life is in school but I guess that's why God blessed me with the great friends that I have in 25/08 and the whole kampong Melayu. I won't and I repeat I totally would not be able to survive year one without these good people. They kept me sane (well most of the time) and made life more bearable. So I owe them a huge thank you and though it may sound cliche, I love you guys! Hahaha. (:
And of course I also owe people like Kesaven, Ami, Hazm, Calvin and Wanting among others to a relatively good, bearable year. Here's to more years of friendship. Yay.
