BUFFET
- from IF @ 7:09 AM

Urhhh.. I think buffets are evil. They make you believe that you can eat all of that food and giving you all sorts of reasons to take this, that and those. In the end, you're left with 1/4 of it staring back at you. Especially Malay cuisine buffet! Don't get me wrong though I loveee buffets but when it comes to Malay food, that's when my stomach bails out on me. God knows why.

Oh oh and you should have seen the mad food rush at the buffet. Quite amusing la actually. Haha.

Okay what a pointless entry.

IT IS OVER! (:
- from IF @ 7:39 PM

WOOOOH! If you're not rejoicing, you probably have a few more papers next week or a CJCian. Promos are over baby! Yeah I'm helluva glad that it is. I shall now revel in my new found temporary freedom during the course of these 6 days or so :D

Call me kiasu or whatever but to ensure that my brain won't melt into mush, I actually borrowed a book from the library to read during my break. Haha! An Agatha Christie. Reason being, I haven't read her books in a long time and every time I borrow them I'll return the book two weeks later, unread.

-

On another note, today was quite the drama, even for me. I envisioned my morning on the last day of Promos to be a serene one. One that would go smoothly.. but oh how wrong I was. You know, I think its funny (and irritating) how certain events happen when you least expect them.

Okay I shall list the things that happened to me this morning and you be the judge. In order of occurence,

I was in the bus and, being me, I was totally immersed in reading my notes and all. Then I realised that the bus was jerking. Annoyed, I looked up and to my horror the bus driver was looking through this file which I assumed contained the route plan. In my mind I was like, 'omg! wtf is he lost!'. And at that he pushed the brakes, looked towards us commuters and spoke something in Mandarin.

That confirmed it, dear ol' bus driver was lost. Can you believe that? He lost his way. I'm not stereotyping alright but judging from his accent, he was from China.. -nods- That wasn't the only thing that pissed me off. The Chinese commuters did not even BUDGE to help the poor guy. I mean, COME ON PEOPLE. I would have helped if I knew the route but I didn't cus the driver went wayyy off course. In the end, some of the Indian commuters helped.

Traumatised, I was.

But the drama didn't stop there. I rushed to Tamp MRT station and boarded the train. Note I was going to alight at Tanah Merah. So after Simei, heading towards Tanah Merah the train stopped. The automated voice was then played and it was said that the train had to stop because of some technical difficulties. GREAT! It was the ultimate last thing I needed. Seriously la. The train was stuck there for a good 10 minutes. Pft.

To add to that, the bus came quite late also. What a glorious morning now wasn't it.

Haha then in the afternoon, an old man from my neighbouring block tried to jump off his window. Just what is wrong with the world today.

Have an awesome weekend my friends and good luck to those taking Promos (:

In other news, I went to CJ to study with my favourite CJcians. :D It was rather fun and productive and I caught up alot with Casey and it was such joy to see all the familiar faces again. We must so hang out again after Promos.. After their Promos that is cus they finish two weeks after I do. Breaking fast with Casey and Janani was the bombzxzx yo.

Hiatussssss! And good luck to all who are taking the Promos! This post sounds so incoherent that I don't think it is even comprehensible. Okay bye kambengs!

i know its late but still!
- from IF @ 9:40 PM

So the first day of Ramadhan was pretty well spent I must say. Mugging was fruitful and so was the fasting. I should really make the most out of this month. Be focused and not get overly distracted.

Anyway I'm a tad slow for this but OMG! These amazing bunch of people are coming to town! :D

Okay fine. this picture only shows Tracyanne but I think she represents all of them la [:

I KNOW! Its like my prayers have been answered. So first and foremost let us all say Alhamdullilah (: And you know I was so worried that I could not get the tickets because I called Hazm and he told me that his friend could only get second floor tickets.

SECOND FLOOR! :O

It was already 3 in the afternoon and I was still in school. SCHOOL! Having lessons! Naturally I panicked. It felt like DCFC all over again when the tickets were sold out on the first day. So yes I was determined to get my ticket. I used all my resources and decided to rely on my most useful 'resource', Mommy.

Haha. I remembered Almas having to calm me down amidst all my hyperventilation. Then it was finally settled. My mom put me through the phone with the SISTIC lady and I got my ticket. K11, first floor. Sure its not a stellar seat like some people's who queued at 10 freaking am because he had no lessons at that time but it'll do (:

Now let us all pray that Stars, Regina Spektor or Jenny Lewis comes to our little sunny island. Happy fasting dear Muslim friends!
