The Daily Prophet
- from IF @ 6:23 AM
Results were released last week and uhh I did alright I guess. I mean I wasn't dissapointed or anything but I just felt I could've done better especially in my Biology, Elect and Add Math. Oh well. At least I bounced back from the horrible results I got last term. As in the words of my form tutor (I can't believe I'm quoting him), "I'm like a horse -does horse riding action- Keep up the momentum." Or at least I think he said that. Hmm. Haha and oh Chemistry's average marks across the level was quite pathetic too. Nevertheless, I still like Chem. Amazing, I know.
ANYWAY. Good luck to those who are taking the MT paper tomorrow. Go get your A1s! (:Labels: school stuffs

The Daily Prophet

OMG! Yesterday was probably the sexiest X-Country in my entire life in SJI. No doubt it was the most fun too. So it was held at Turf City this year cos McRitchie had some renovations going on. At first I thought it was gonna suck. 1) It was really far away from home 2) McRitchie had more shade than Turf City 3) I was running competitive (replacing Avinash) when I actually wanted to slack this year. Well so yeah. Whatever I thought.
Then it poured really heavily and I was not allowed to replace Avinash. Oh before that there was this really amusing announcement before the race in school and it goes like this,
" ...if it should rain, runners are expected to seek shelter at the nearest concrete shelter. And if there's none nearby, students are expected to adopt the squatting position and wait for the rain to clear. End of announcement. Thank you."
Yeah. I found it amusing lahh. Nevermind if you don't cos I thought it was really.. awkward to 'adopt the squatting position' when the rain is heavily pounding down on you.
Anyway. Yeah. I wasn't allowed to replace Avinash. Reason being the number tag was registered under his name already and no last minute replacements were allowed. (Little that he knew a number of runners found themselves replacements) So there I was feeling really whatever about it. I felt bad and happy at the same time actually. Bad because I was pushed out of the race like right in my face and I didn't get to run for class. And happy because I got to slack. Or so I thought.
Mass run was spent running with Hazm. Initially with Mao, Mervin, Xuan Yi and Roy but then we broke away from the group. Hur. It was really, extremely fun for me. Pushing Hazm around. Getting my legs muddy. Splashing mud on people. Overtaking the Sec 1s and 2s who started 15 minutes after we did. Completing the race with a timing a person who has not attended training in a month can boast about. Haha. So yeah. I ended up not slacking. (:
AND then. The dinner after that made my day. It was awesome! Talking crap and laughing with the dudes. I still can't get over Kumaran's classic anecdote.
Kumaran : I asked my mom what she cooked today and she said Sambal Prawn. So I said okay and I went to get some prawn for my rice. I stirred and stirred. Tomato.. tomato.. Eh ma where are the prawns? And you know what my mom said? Sorry son, there are no prawns.
HAHA. Classic man.
You just got to love them lah.Labels: rambles, school events

" - ten-minute silence - OKAY! I'm gonna blog today! -beams- "
Haha. And that's how I decided that I wanted to blog today. Cool no?
Whatever. It was not random kay. I just had an epiphany and thus the decision to blog.
Went to watch Spiderman 3 with Casey today. I can say it was a well made movie. I liked the plot. Haha. I don't know why but I really connected with the characters in the movie just now. As in I put myself in each of their shoes in every scene. For example, when MJ had to break up with Peter for Peter's safety and well being? Yeah. I know this sounds really weird and you're probably thinking that I'm a weirdo and all but really I felt it. I could hear Peter's heart breaking, I could feel Mary Jane's dilemma. Everything in that scene. I don't know maybe I was being pretty emo at that moment or maybe the guy put something in my Crispy Chicken, which was awesome by the way. Haha. I think I was tearing at some parts too. Heh.
All in all, I would give the movie a 3.75 or so stars. It wasn't that bad lahh please.
On to other things.
We, Sec 4s, now have to endure enjoy four periods of Mother Tongue a day. Not that its a bad thing but you'll get bored of your native tongue if its done too much. And the Higher Language students are dragged along in this arrangement as well eventhough our paper is in Oct/Nov. Ahh well. Quite slack actually but I just find the mock tests that we have to take everyday a tad leceh. Hur. OH! And I bet the other schools are darn happy that the new Bahas policy has been passed out. Well for the uninformed, Berita Harian has announced that each school can only send 2 scholars in a team of 5. If that doesn't spell hope/joy to other schools, then I don't know what does. Whatever it is. SJI's chances this year is not that good. But hopefully, you know, we'll somehow make it to quarter finals, at least.
I'm worried..
MYE results. Stuff. Stuff and stuff.
And because it's been a somewhat emo day..
Heh! Reminds me of the good (haha) OBS days. Bittersweet memories much.

Ooh I see cobwebs at the corners of my blog already. Well basically life's been about reading notes, textbooks, assessment books, and anything related to the subject tested on the next day. Not that I'm a last minute person or anything. Life's also been about late nights, excessive caffeine/chewing gum(they really help okay!) and less time on anything else. Yes that was life my dear friends. Depressing, I know.
So anyway. Moving on to more cheerful things. MYE officially ended today. That is something to be happy about cos that means life like the above mentioned paragraph will be scraped entirely. Well lets say, it will not be as bad lahh. Hopefully. MYE was alright I guess. The paper I found really tough was the one that ends with a '-try'. Yup. Other than that, I thought it was quite alright. If only I revised more during the March Holidays. Okay okay scratch that scratch that! Heh.
You know. I was watching the news yesterday and its been announced that the O level Examinations will be pushed forward ANOTHER week. So it now starts on the 22nd of October and ends on the 13th November. Not cool alright. Its so not cool. But whatever. Just have to start mugging earlier right? Vicious cycle much? Sigh.
And soon. I'll be hearing that O levels will be next week. Touchwood! Haha
Lastly, cos quizzes are fun..
and we all should realise that online quizzes are hilarious and not true. I will never say that lor. Labels: rambles quizzes
